why do so many people feel they are entitled to things?
today at the awards assembly they were announcing the state scholars, a group of black kids behind me were smacking their lips and complaining that no black people were chosen.
really? you don’t get fucking chosen to be an nc scholar as our lovely guidance counselors just explained. IT IS SOMETHING YOU HAVE TO WORK FOR. Don’t accuse the school for being racist just because it so happened that the white population outnumbers the black populations and that it so happens that all the black people in said class are either dedicated musicians, athletes, lazy, or otherwise distracted.
Don’t talk all big about how you don’t want affirmative action when you feel entitled to be honored with something you didn’t earn.
This is by no means racist, i love all people. This certain group of students i speak of are exceptionally ignorant and were ragging on people the whole damn time. NO.
Just fucking NO.
